Ca l’Humà is an impressive 17th century building just next to Púbol Castle. It dates back to the Middle Ages, when the town walls were built.
After years of neglect, the Casa-Estudi Caterina Roma project began to restore it in 2018 to host artistic activities and exhibitions.
The farmhouse was a former hostel for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago and a shelter for beggars. It is now the workshop, while the ground floor and stables are now exhibition spaces.
The courtyards and gardens are for walking around and are used to house outdoor art experience activities and workshops.
This is a project in its infancy that is growing strong. Thanks to its uniqueness, is on its way to becoming one of the key art spaces in the Empordà area.
